RE: My stabilizer jacks just aren't stabilizing.....

We used the BAL type wheel chocks and still had quite a bit of movement and we dont have any slides and only a 25' camper. We added a set of stabilizers in front of the wheels and WOW what a differance. I had a god firend do the same with his 30' TT that has a slide and he said the same thing. WHAT A DIFFERANCE! Add the extra set in front of the axles and you wont be dissapointed Pat Bonish I have also did this. I must say it helped A LOT. I also have the BAL wheel chocks.

RE: NewbiePropane Switchover Question

I just put an auto change over on yesterday. Mine use to draw from both tanks at the same time, so when I ran out........I was OUT. What a PITA it was.

RE: Cool tip!

Not trying to bash the OP, but, I use these here and the price of this works out to be $0.43 per yard. I like the OP better, because you cut them to lenght

RE: GRRRRR - THIEVES

You can add an electric lock to the tailgate http://www.pickupspecialties.com/PopnLock_files/poplockelectric.gif (clickable) When you click the remote to lock the doors, the tailgate locks also. I park at home in the boonies, so I haven't added it, but I've considered it if I could figure out a way to make the truck cap lid lock with one too. How much for that? Got an actuator off ebay for 5 bucks. trailor wiring laying around here and misc hardware.... total cost 8 bucks Here is a link to how we do it on our Titans http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-faq-howto-area/18471-tailgate-power-lock.html?highlight=tailgate+lock

RE: Followup to the fatal crash

Is there anyone other than myself out here that suspects that inattentive driving by the father may be the true cause of this situation? Seems to me that we are quick to blame the dealers and the Durango without knowing (again that "knowing" thing) how long this family owned the set up--after all, they had come quite a long way with this tow vehicle and TT--apparently safely. elfare. It is VERY safe to say the set up was way off. It doesn't matter how long they had this setup, it was not correct. All it took was the perfect storm and goodbye!!!!!!

RE: Followup to the fatal crash

"Can I tow this trailer with my truck?" questions. WEIGHT IS ONLY ONE COMPONENT IN SAFE TOWING CALCULATIONS. Great advice. But where can the proper info concerning length of tow vehicle be found? there is a chart on this page http://www.rvtowingtips.com/how-long.htm

RE: GRRRRR - THIEVES

Our Nissans come with a tailgate lock. I even went so far is to put an actuator in the gate and hook it into the power door locks. Door locks...tailgate locks.

RE: Suburban Water Heater problem

Happened to me last weekend. Brought it to a dealer they burped the system and worked fine so far for them. My problem was it would only stay lit for 10-15 minutes tho. Check to be sure you dont have any air in the water heater.

RE: Outside television hook up

How quick people jump to conclusions. I guess I need to duct tape my sons mouth, muzzle my 2 dogs, remove my radio, sell my generator and not speak above a whisper as to be sure to not potentially offend my neighbors? Where do some of you camp that the mere low volume playing of a TV or radio on the opposite side of your TT can be heard to the point of being a nusance?? I know there are people out there who feel they need to share their TV or music with the entire campground but I like to feel most of my fellow campers respect others relaxation time. ! Thank you...Took the words out of my mouth.

RE: This was scary.

Do you have a cover on the bottles. Seems a little odd about the breakage. Glad nothing serious happened.

RE: trailer leveling

Your best bet is to use a small bullseye type level in the FRIDGE, this is the most critcal item that MUST be level when parked and running. . Fridges have tolerances. What about all of us driving with the fridge on?...roads are not level. They all have a crown or slope from one side to another to get water to run off.;)

RE: STOP and look before you buy that On-Sale flat screen TV!!!

I have noticed our large plasma tv can be viewed from most any angle with no problem but the LCD unit in the bathroom really washes out unless you are right in front of it. Not sure why but I can't sit in the spa and watch tv without looking in mirror over the sink and then every thing is backwards. Guess a plasma for the bathroom is next. Life is good!! Newer LCDs are getting alot better with the viewing angles. Cheaper ones may be a different story.

RE: Think this is a scam?

The deal has a rather rank odor in my opinion...if it too good to be true...it probably is too good to be true. Ken no wayyyyyyy
